The food was really good and that is why we have two stars. The service and pricing were not. Don't get me wrong, everyone loves tacos, and these were delicious, but tacos are also inexpensive, and even if you go out for them and expect to pay more for the convenience, these were seriously overpriced. The food was OK, kinda dry. The counter service was rushed but ok. The reason I won't be going back is the eating area was filthy. The tables where all covered in debris and sticky, half eaten food just thrown on the floor and stepped on.It wasn't a busy time of day when I went, and the staff was just hanging around.To be very honest, I didn't finish my food, the plastic was just nasty.
We moved here a little over a year ago and I can say if you're missing that delicious west coast Mexican food, this place is sure to please! We're always looking for other places, but this is our current champion.
If I could give this restaurant a thousand stars I would. Firstly the food is authentic and TO DIE FOR!! Secondly the staff is absolutely amazing, every time you walk in you are greeted with a hello and smile. They are very personable and make you feel like you are apart of the family. Lastly the environment is very clean and homey. Whenever I come back home to NC this is the first place to stop at just because the food alone mixed with the friendly staff makes you feel at home.
It was our first time and the service is great, the place looks very clean and neat, the food taste good but it is a little salty, I can give a second chance
In Leland we only have 2 Mexican restaurants. Chingon is definitely my 1st pick. Don’t get me wrong, I like the other place too. But tonight was the birthday girls choice. You get plenty of food for the price. The margaritas are delicious as well. I do love the atmosphere. The music is a little loud for me. I had a hard time hearing, but that could just be me. They are on top of everything for sure. From ordering, cleanliness, delicious food, beverages the wait staff. Definitely worth checking out, if you haven’t already.
