Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant received an award for the best new restaurant in SF, but some customers found the food to be a little over salted. Despite this, the tangerine beer was a hit and the staff was friendly. One reviewer noted that the service and beer were excellent despite the food not meeting usual standards. Another mentioned that salmon was burnt but was quickly replaced by the manager, although the chicken tenders were bland. Some found the menu limited, with mixed reviews on food quality. A long-time patron expressed sadness over the closure of the location they had frequented for years, praising the food and service. Overall, the restaurant seemed to have mixed reviews on food quality and service, but was generally appreciated for its ambience, unique menu items, and selection of beers.
When I arrived, the area near the hostess was crammed full. I'm so glad I made a reservation in advance! We were seated in just 5 minutes. I was really sad to see the sign that this location is closing in just a few days. I'm not sure if it was happenstance, or my request for a quieter spot (in my reservation) was the reason. The wait staff was very attentive. The food was excellent.
Our waitress was rude and seemed not readily available to anyone. Many tables she was waiting on had the same experience: we all didn’t get service for refills, we had to ask for bread, and she acted very out out when we reminded her that we needed refills. Her attitude was apathetic and almost rude. Food was cold, bland and the food servers were confused as to what order went to what table. We will be hard pressed to go back here. We’ve had good luck before but this visit made us rethink returning.
Salmon was burnt, the Manager was quick to replace it which was good. However the chicken tenders were very bland- rice pilaf would have been better out of a box, and the service was very slow. Based on this experience I do not believe we will go back again.
After 11 years at this place closes joe’s in landsdowne. While there is now a reston va location, we will certainly miss that in loudoun county. we came here last day, it was open and still had the usual great meal in an unhurried pace. sad to see this place, go!
I always enjoyed her broth, but it was too clean. several appetizers we ordered were not delicious at all. it was either too well done or done under.
