The Allerton - Leeds

We visited Charlie Bretts for the first time last week and had a fantastic time. The food was top notch and the prices were very reasonable for such good quality. The ambience was very inviting, and even though it was quiet when we visited the atmosphere was still enjoyable. Our host Sol made the experience into something special he has obviously been in the hospitality industry for a long time and is a consummate professional. This place really deserves to be packed out every night. We will return.

The gentleman who runs the restaurant knows a thing or two about hospitality. Really friendly, curtious and dignified. The place looks great inside and out with a really nice bar. If the fish and chips are to go by, the entire menu is amazing! Credit to the chefs! It's by far the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Fresh, white fish that melts off the fork. Non greasy batter, and crunchy but soft chips. The bread and butter is carefully prepared and cooked with great detail and thought gone into presentation. £22 for two fish and chips, bread and butter and two lemonades. Yes, it might sound pricy for what it is, but it is cheaper than going to various other places and certainly worth paying for!

Absolutely perfect family dinning. The host was a perfect gentleman with knowledge and stories of the globe. The food was exquisitely prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all. Although they were serving 70+ guests, we felt like the only table in the room. I will be dining there again as it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Thank to the Allerton team for allowing us to have our wedding with you. The whole day and evening were fantastic, the food was divine, the service was impeccable and all the guests including the bride and groom were beyond happy. Great bog room with space for the band and dance floor, private bar for the party and both Sol and Ashleigh were open to our requests and needs. Could not have asked for more.

It is not often that a restaurant hosting leaves such a lasting impression that I had proposed The Allerton as a potential place for the 21st of our daughter, so my wife and daughter saw what they had to offer. I think it only took a few seconds to make their thoughts. The room was ideal for at least the thirty we had expected nothing was too much trouble for solos, the menus were flexible and so it was booked. The communication that led to the party and confirmed the menu choices was first class, which means that we had total confidence on the day that everyone would be under control so that we can relax and enjoy. That's exactly what we did! Thanks also to the team there that finished the process, the excellent food of the cook, the service was fantastic and of course there were solos, quiet and efficient to ensure that everything he had promised came to fruit. From the ease of parking, great hosting and super food it was also amazing value; so we have to conclude that this is a highly recommended place, be it a special occasion or just a meal.
