Hearth - Lebanon

I visited the restaurant for takeout and ended up being overcharged. I ordered a cheesesteak and fries, and my credit card was charged nearly $15. I’m not very pleased with this experience.

I ordered the senior broiled seafood dinner, which included a crab cake. However, the crab cake was neither crab nor a proper cake; it turned out to be imitation crab that was cooked on the outside but gooey inside. The fish was overcooked, and the cornbread was so hard that it could have caused injury if thrown. The chicken croquettes were massive but dry on the outside and unappetizing. I didn't feel the need to approach the manager since the waitress was very pleasant throughout the experience. I won't be coming back.

The manager was very rude to us. She actually asked us to leave because we had spent too much time chatting over our coffee. We were just four women catching up after church, not rowdy patrons! There are plenty of other restaurants nearby that will appreciate your business. I recommend choosing one of them instead of The Hearth. Additionally, they do not accept American Express, which shows a lack of good business practices.
