Excellent sushi, except they need to clean and change out their fryer oil more often. The fried sushi we got had that old, bitter, used-oil aftertaste. Otherwise, we had a great experience. Staff was super friendly and attentive. View all feedback.

The sushi was fine but the service was spotty. Perhaps they were under staffed on a weekend night. The hostess who greeted me was pleasant. My waiter not so nice. It seemed like I waited 10 minutes before he came to take my order. It seemed like another 10 minutes before I got my drink. View all feedback.
Always excellent, always fresh. before they die, they try the kobe rindfleisch tataki, especially when they have Asian pears in the season.
This place has really good vegan options! in many restaurants the owners cannot ensure that what I eat is vegan (like tempura), and they will be vegan and vegetarian food in the same category. the service is okay. it's not so great, so I suggest to take it. I personally don't like the water of conduct here. it tastes funny. eating is amazing and I love the amount of options.
DON’T DO IT! We are not from this area and decided to find a place to eat sushi. This place had great ratings and supposedly voted best in last 3 years for Lawrence. First off the smell when you walk in smelled like sewage. The seating was like sitting at a picnic table. The atmosphere was nothing to Bragg about, no music etc listening to employees private conversations. They made us request forks like we were suppose to eat with chop sticks. We got the love boat which is what we always do at sushi restaurants and it was $75 which did not include soup and salad as it usually does. So an extra $4 each for salad that had a horrible dressing like French dressing with some ginger then and extra $2 for soup each. The kicker was when my husband got stabbed in the tongue with a bone from the sushi, after letting them know there was no offer to do anything to make it right! I highly recommend oriental bistro and grill, it was such a better experience.
This was the most disappointing experience here. Usually I love it frequently get to go orders which I’ve loved. However, tonight was awful! Got home to find out the veggie tempura roll I ordered was only veggie tempura which costs more than the roll. It was soggy looked very unappetizing. When I called, I was told no manager was on duty during the dinner rush there was nothing they could do, not even if I brought it back to have them give me the correct food. They only offered to take my name number so a manager could call me back but no one ever did. They clearly didn’t care about their mistake or poor customer service but were fine with still taking my money. I will NOT be back!!
I went to yokohama sushi (09 may 2019.) today for lunch, the place was clean, the waiter was friendly, and eating arrived in time. I also liked the atmosphere and decorations. I ordered the chicken Katsu-Lunch special, which was pretty good. I thought the rice and the charalate helped the meal together with the fried meat to be more balanced. I spoke to who I guess was the owner when I paid my bill. she was very nice, and also gracious about my broken japanese.
