Triyyaki Noodle And Sushi Buffet

I stopped by for lunch yesterday just to see what the Red Pepper had. I was very pleased with the service I received and the server was able to answer all my questions. I ordered the General's Chicken from the All Day Menu. I was very pleased that the General's Chicken did not taste like peppered ketchup (Something I've come to expect from the Lawrence Chinese restaurants) it was wonderfully flavored with just the right amount of spice!!! The chicken was also not covered in a heavy breading. It was crispy, tender, and had a wonderful helping of sauce. the meal i ordered came with a side of fried rice and a crab rangoon. Though the fried rice was very bland by it's self once I mixed it with the General's sauce it added a good amount of flavor. Now to the best part!!! The crab rangoon!!! Here in Lawrence I've come to expect the rangoons to be dry; not just the wonton wrap but the cream cheese filling as well. the rangoon that was served to me was the best I've had since I left the east coast. the whole rangoon was fried well and crispy all around (not soggy on the bottom) and the inside was like heaven!!! The filling was so creamy and warm. I new right way that the Red Pepper wasn't messing around with second rate cooks that over prep and leave their precooked rangoons under a heat lamp for hours on end. I highly recommend if you have not visited this restaurant you should give it a try; If for anything the fresh and creamy Crab Rangoons!!
