The location is very good and we popped in for dinner before a movie. Prawn tempura was very good. Omelette nigiri was the standout of the sushi. Prices a little on the high side (wine very high) , but then again we are in Switzerland. View all feedback.
What Manu doesn't like about Restaurant le Tokyo:
The menu has changed in recent months. 3CHF, no more sautéed vegetables, less chicken and a simple bagged salad instead. What a DAMAGE, disappointing and it's the last time. Daily specials with OK value for money and very good sautéed vegetables. Several visits, consistent quality. View all feedback.
Beautiful menu, I had a spicy beef, nothing to say, really delicious, I tasted apple and ice cream gyoza for dessert, a real treat. A very good discovery for me, I highly recommend.
Good food with good presentation. Very unpleasant staff. The quality of the food doesn’t make up for the staffs atitude towards customers.
I wanted to enjoy a good Japanese dish again after what I saw. I have to advise anyone who loves original Japanese cuisine to go to this restaurant. The taste of the dishes is too much adapted to Europeans. I don't recognize Japan in the food and the wasabi is so weak that it's not worth eating. In the end, they really turned a Japanese restaurant into a shisha bar that has fries on the menu.
We visited Le Tokyo twice during our stay and the first dining experience we had was awesome great food, great service, and reasonably priced (for CH). Scallop starter, shrimps on a hot plate were my favs, and my partner had the sushi/sashimi which was extremely good. Our second visit was not as good lacklustre service, the owners' screaming kids running around the restaurant during dinner service and food quality not as good as the previous night. Hence the lower overall score. But, excellent sushi.
