Warm and welcoming English pub with delicious food. we ate here three nights and I chose three different main meals. all were beautifully presented and delicious. the staff was polite and friendly and we waited only a very short time before we received our meals. very recommend they come and try the lamb shoulders, venison pie, the filled chicken breast and the many baked salmon.

What a magnificent historic building, and we were warmly welcomed by a cozy fireplace. The staff was friendly and incredibly efficient. Our drinks and meals arrived promptly. We both enjoyed the venison dish. I particularly loved the tender meat and the rich, decadent sauce it was cooked in.

I don't know where to begin with this amazing restaurant. The history on the walls and the overall historical atmosphere of the building was fantastic. The staff was excellent and attentive. Even though the restaurant was full, we were able to enjoy our meals at a bar table. The steak was cooked perfectly to my request (which is rare these days) and was incredibly tender. My meal was exactly what I needed and how I like it. The potatoes were crispy on the bottom and soft on top, while the carrots were fresh with a slight crunch. The hotpot was perfect, with a rich red wine gravy complementing the tender venison. The bake on top was just right, mixing in the leftover gravy beautifully.

Beautiful place, warm. the atmosphere is overshadowed by glary annoying lighting with lamps too large for the lights. I wanted to see the person next to me. please sort the light situation

Take your chances and just rock up (early) otherwise I suggest booking! The place is set on three levels great decor old world, good selection of beverages and tasty food menu!
