We dined here with a large group on a week night. The staff were very friendly and our meals were served promptly. The food was fresh and there was general agreement that the meals were tasty. The restaurant has been renovated nicely and the atmosphere was great. There is an ample menu with something for everyone and to suit all budgets. We will definitely return. View all feedback.

Went here with my husband and sister-in-law for Saturday lunch whilst in Launceston for the weekend after flying over from Melbourne. My dish was supposed to be a chicken curry. What arrived was a nauseating, unsightly mix of large lumps of bland chicken breast, dry and chewy in places and a pale yellow congealed mess of rice looking like scrambled egg with strips of soggy red capsicum poking out. My husband's lamb s... View all feedback.
This little jewel in the tombs is with local character, fine friendly rustic service and good value tucker. really a good sound for drinks with friends, pub snacks and meals. I love this place.
Very sub-par food despite the decent service. Soon as we’d sat town we were told what wasn’t available on the menu!! Not a great start. Being pescatarian those things meant we had one choice left on the menu. We thought to get up and...leave at that point and we SHOULD have. A lovely Asian lady came to try and offer other options but there really wasn’t any to offer except Caesar but couldn’t see how that would be different to what we got except for the bread. The roast vegetable salad was virtually entirely lettuce filler with a few really crisp hard horrible roast vegetables that were hardly distinguishable and a small piece of feta. If I’d wanted Caesar or Garden I would have ordered that! So unenjoyable and was And to make the blow even greater, we went to use an entertainment book voucher and it had already been used. Terrible choice all around in our opinion! The best part was the bowl of unhealthy chips. Hubbies parmigiana was alright but had ham hidden underneath the cheese and he doesn’t eat pig! No mention of that on the menu. Not a good experience. Certainly no complimentary chips any more either. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon unfortunately.
From the lunch menu, x texan parmas, spicy speck pasta and a slowly cooked chicken. all the spicy texan parma was my best ever
During this venue only offers pub-style basic food, as expected this visit was better than earlier in terms of quantity, price-performance ratio and gautability. the staff is efficient and friendly. not busy. the free deal chip with any main ordered. sees a thing of pastness. Perhaps the hotel could confirm that.
Friendly community taverne with efficient service. reasonable pub-style food with a large selection of beer and apple wine on tap as well as a good selection of inexpensive local wines. great for casual style eating.
