What JoniR doesn't like about Touchdown Club Ii:
We ended up leaving and never even ordered dinner. It was so cold in there and the noise level was so high that we could not hear each other. We graciously told our waitress how uncomfortable we were and that we decided to go elsewhere. She was very nice and understood. We also noticed that the prices had gone up a lot since the last time we were there. We we disappointed, however, because we have always enjoyed the... View all feedback.
Salad dressings and crab cakes are very good, but the backed potatoes were hard. Atmosphere is somewhat dated and dark.
Great staff, always good food and drink, would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion
Love the Lobster tails and martinis. Also great crab cakes.
We visit the area once a year and always have dinner at the Touchdown Club when we are there. It was originally recommended by the bartender at our hotel. Although next to a bowling alley in a strip mall, and the fact that it is completely unimpressive from the outside, we were pleasantly surprised by the good food and service until this year. The service remains very good, but the food was awful. They give you a bowl of raw veggies at the table to start: they were obviously sitting around for a long, long time very dried out and sad looking. The celery was black at the edges. The salad was okay, but again, the greens looked past their prime. The French onion soup was almost entirely cheese good, but very strange in that regard. The prime rib was about 75 80% fat, but the meat was good and prepared to order (medium rare). Desert (chocolate cake) was dry also. Overall, disappointing. We will not be returning.
The food was delicious! I had the crab cakes and they were huge and just all crab meat!!!
