I love this hotel. I travel to Las Vegas for work often and typically stay at the Westin. I much prefer this property as you can get the casino Vegas vibe if you wish, or stay away from it The pool is wonderful and gorgeous. The rooms are amazing. So large and really comfortable. The bathroom is huge and nice with a large vanity and bathtub. A ton of healthy and much more affordable food at all the neighboring center... View all feedback.
What Mahes P doesn't like about Jw Marriott 221 Lounge:
Expected More, Received Less. This is definitely not the JW Marriott experience that I'm accustomed to. Dated building, freezing cold throughout, way too far away from The Strip for what you get. I've been traveling to Vegas weekly, so I knew how far away I'd be, but in return for traveling to The Strip I assumed this resort would have similar amenities and experiences as the JW is Scottsdale. Not exactly. I apprecia... View all feedback.
I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last 15 years. At one time, this was a really nice place to stay. Not anymore. Today, this hotel is an abysmal shell of what it once was. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. The room was dusty (My nose plugged up and I began sneezing within a hour of entering the room . Room service is delivered in paper bags. The fountain near the lobby has been turned off. Want a cart to help you carry your bags up to your rooms? Too bad. Those are only for staff. Much of the close-up parking is reserved for the valet. Even though most of that area is completely empty, you have to park much further away. They really seem to want you to park in the structure, which requires you to walk through the casino (which reeks of cigarettes . The doors to the rooms are not sealed, and so you can hear everything that happens in the hallway (including the guy talking on his phone outside your room at 3:30 a.m. . Never again.
Stayed here for 5 nights in December. Location is great and staff was friendly. As a Platinum Elite, I did get upgraded to a larger room which was very kind and made for a comfortable stay since I was working during the day and room had a separate table which I used for working. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Shower pressure was good. This hotel is connected to the Rampart Casino. As part of the daily resort fee, you get $10 free slot play per night of stay which was a fun treat. As a Platinum Elite, you can also opt in for the free breakfast over points which I highly recommend. The breakfast is located at The Earl Grey Cafe which is a diner in the Rampart Casino. You get a beverage, entree and side item from a special menu. Lots of choices and everything I tried was good, notably the BLTA...at the very least you should make sure you get the bacon! :
Thanks to one of my good friend he got my other 2 friends and myself 5 free night at the JW Marriott resort located in Summerlin. 10 mins from the strip and about 15mins from downtown . Small casino although very convenient to Red Rock canyon and Traders Joes also nearby Red Rock casino . Nice swimming pool with a waterfall also a wonderful spa located in the lobby of hotel . Several restaurants as well a Steakhouse, coffee shop , buffet, Starbucks and Chinese and a deli shop . If your in the area I highly recommend to check them out because it's not as crowded compared to the Strip hotels . Thanks to my friend I would never be able to afford this property because it's a JW Marriott property one of Marriott high end hotels
The JW is a great alternative from staying on the Strip. It's quiet, peaceful, classy, and offers guests a resort stay that actually is a resort and has a casino. The staff were awesome. Everyone from Valet to Front Desk were courteous and helpful. My room was gigantic. I had a balcony with a view, a bathroom with dual vanities, jetted tub, rainforest shower, and of course a toilet with a hand-held phone on the wall. We ate at the Earl Grey restaurant and did mobile orders with the Starbucks located at the JW So, here's the deal. If you enter in the Spa Tower, you may not be in the Spa Tower. It's important to note that there two towers with the casino, restaurants, ans shops in between. The other tower is the Palms Tower. They have a separate Valet and entrance. Knowing which tower you'll be in first will help you after your stay if at all possible. A couple more notes. The JW is about 30 dollars Lyft Uber from the Strip one way. There is a Whole Foods and shopping including a Target with Liquor within 5-10 mins. If you stay at the JW, and if you don't have a car, you'll be on the property which may suit so guests but if you have an itch to be on the Strip, you'll need to figure out how to get there and back due to the distance. I would stay at the JW without hesitation as it is an oasis in the desert.
