Was Dave at 8 East a mag?
Our first night in Las Vegas and we just wanted something simple as we have 2 big nights coming up. We pre booked this place as we fancied some Asian food. The food was tasty and well prepared, but, having spent a lot of time in Asia, I would say not quite as authentic as the real thing. We chose: Salt Pepper Sichuan Chicken Wings: Deep Fried And Tossed In Our Secret Sichuan Rub Crispy Pork Belly Bacon: Pork Belly Sl... View all feedback.

What Puneet Sharma dislikes about 8 East:
The experience was good, but not exceptional. I felt the prices were too high considering the quality and portion sizes. I tried the Dan Dan noodles, which featured a peanut sauce; this was my first time encountering peanut sauce in a Dan Dan dish. I wouldn’t rate it five stars. On the positive side, the service was quick and attentive. View all feedback.

First off, I have to say that the exceptional service we received from Javier throughout our dinner was the highlight of this birthday celebration, even though the food was fantastic as well! We thoroughly enjoyed the sizzling shrimp, short ribs, dumplings, and pork belly bao. The Dan Dan noodles were delightful, and the lobster fried rice was also quite good. However, we were both completely amazed by the Tokyo crêpe filled with mushrooms and tofu—it was innovative and incredibly delicious. As I was the designated driver, I asked Javier for a recommendation on a mocktail. Without hesitation, he offered to create something special. He suggested their fantastic Heart of the Pina drink, which is usually made with tequila, but he made it without. It featured the amazing flavors of passion fruit, pomegranate, lime, agave, and cardamom bitters—truly outstanding and refreshing. All the staff who brought the beautifully presented small plates to our table were very helpful with answering our questions. As locals, we’re eager to return soon because the ambiance, food, and service at 8 East are all top-notch.

I wish I could rate it 3.5 stars. The food was decent, but it felt a bit overpriced for the quality.

Not as fancy as I thought it was going to be, but that was good for us. The fried bacon was so fatty and not our taste, but the dumplings, Bao, and honey cake were definitely great. We got Sake and it was a mini bottle for $12/$14, which was nice cause I figured it was gonna be one shot/glass for that price.

Great restaurant with great service! The Bento box was perfect for lunch. Some of the most reasonable prices we've seen in Vegas so far for some really awesome food.
