Loved the service by Eddie. He had a huge grad party that he was taking care of along with our table of 10, and he was Flawless. The only thing I could fault is my fajitas. I'm not sure they could qualify. Small strips of beef and onion, but that's about it. I think it might better be qualified as a Carne asada plate. Other than that, everyone else enjoyed their selections. I'd definitely go back, but try a combo pla... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Los Compas:
The food was cold when we received it my sister had to send her food back to get put in the microwave. The soda's where all flat I'm giving it 2 stars because the gorditas where ok but my beans and rice where cold It seems like no one there cares about how there food is presented. I had high expectations for this restaurant and in the past it was great. What happened? View all feedback.
I loved this place, its quaint Lil place, my bf I went to, our server was very clean, manicured, so very polite, was on top of everything, b4 we could even ask. And the food was AMAZING !!!!! We enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
The one we visited did not have margaritas. They will be getting their license back in September. This location shows a lot of wear and tear on the carpet. The utensils were definitely on the cheap side I was afraid to either bend the fork or leave a permanent on my fingers while cutting through my enchiladas. Beyond that, it is a great local restaurant. The portions are satisfying and definitely feel, taste and look my grandma was in the kitchen. YUM! The murals on the walls are great to look at not a TV in sight YAY! The chips look like they are fried on site and the salsa is medium hot. The bean cheese burritos are not dry nor lacking in amount. The tortilla was a perfect size for an after school snack. And not expensive $4.50 . KY grandson and I had two burritos and sweet tea. Total came out to less than $14 including tip.
This place used to be my favorite because of the menudo. First time back in a long time and I was disappointed with their menudo because the meat was too big and chewy. My daughter had the beef tacos and she said they were just ok. The orchata, chips and salsa are excellent!
Everything needed salt. The rice literally tasted like white rice and was very dry. The beans had a lot of what tasted like lard. My first time here and I was really dissatisfied. Didn’t even finish my food. Agua frescas were watered down and tasted like tap water. The staff was friendly but the food was a huge let down. The chips and queso was okay however there was too much Chile making it really spicy and the chips were hard. We also got the carne asada tacos and the tortillas tasted like they weren’t fried and were straight out of the package. It was garnished with a huge handful of lettuce and tomatoes which didn’t pair with the tacos. Won’t be coming back. It also took a while for us to get our check. We had to get up ourselves to get our check after about 15 minutes waiting for it.
I used to love this restaurant but our last two experiences won’t have us coming back. First, I’m 99% sure the taco plate gave me food poisoning. Second, the last time we went in we stood at the front while 4 understandably busy employees reassured they would be right with us. After patiently waiting for several minutes an older man walked in behind us and one waitress greeted them immediately and sat them before helping us. Honestly, everyone lost in this situation. The server missed out because we tip well, we missed out on the food because we left for being treated so poorly, and Compas missed out because we wont be back. This location is terrible!!
