What User doesn't like about Il Boscaiolo Italiano:
this restaurant is a embarrassment that the owners are drunk and unprofessional they treat there customers and workers terrible and there were several paintings where were made threats. I would not recommend this place if they give away the food and eat it is ok I had better italian at some of the pizza spots in Lansdale nothing to rave over. do not define for the way and wise how the owners act, they do not respect... Good, old-fashioned house cooked Italian dishes. Quality and quantity were above expectations. Service was efficient, but a bit brusque.
Five of my coworkers and I ordered to go food for the first time and we will never go back. First we were either overcharged by $20 or their menu prices went up drastically and was never updated on their online menu. Can't say which for sure because I didn't get a proper receipt and they kept the credit card receipt when I had to take the food back. Then one of my coworkers had a gray hair cooked INTO a meatball. I called, let the lady who took my payment know. I asked for a refund and she told me to bring the food back. Fine. I brought it back and once there she was very hostile and said there was no way there was hair in the food even after she was shown the hair that was very clearly cooked into the meatball. Then she refused to give a refund for one meal and we spent $175 for only 6 meals! She had the meal remade but no one wanted it. Bottom line, I only wanted a refund for one meal, but will now never go back. Over-priced and clearly not using proper food prep items like hair nets.
This review is ONLY based on Customer Service Etiquette ! Scenerio: been to this restaurant before (before Covid). Coming from Philly. Bringing my 90+ year old Mother. Got there at 4pm, since the restaurant stated on their website opens at that time. We walked up to the entrance and was greeted by one of the owners, wife and she put her hand up with 5 fingers. No response, hand gesture. What class! I said, oh, in 5 minutes and she shook her head no and then stated 5pm. I nicely said to her, we came from Philly and your website stated 4pm. She shook her shoulders in saying, so what . First and foremost, she was RUDE ! No class! Second, you have a website for your business, you are responsible for updating it! Or take it down, if you don 't want to be bothered! To not be nice in speaking to us! To be rude to an elder! Well, if you feel like, you are able to be rude towards your customers, who are your paycheck and do not care if you lose them. Then contiune on going down that road and the business will soon faulter. You would think, how Covid affected alot of food establishments, that you would be more congenial towards your customers. I guess my money does not count!
On Tuesday night our first day in the area...we stopped at this restaurant by chance. It was close to our hotel and it was getting late. We feared if we kept looking for other places to eat other restaurant would be closing. This is a quaint authentic Italian restaurant. There were only two other guests there when we arrived sitting at a table together. The service was fast and the food was good. I ordered Fetticinne Alfredo with no meat. My coworker had ravioli. I forget what our VP ordered...but everyone said the food was good!
A family run business. If you love southern Italian cuisine, this is the place for you. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. Pictured calamari Fra divalo, scallops, chicken and mushrooms and baked ziti.
