We were there for a wedding and the view is remarkable, the wedding reception and the staff was great to work with and very friendly. The bar and restaurant upstairs is very spacious and very down home atmosphere. Definitely recommend ? View all feedback.
What J D doesn't like about Waubee Lake Lodge:
Went for our 30th Anniversary get away. Was given a basement room that was damp and musty with a dehumidifier running constant. When we asked for another room we were told they were full and were asked if we emptied the dehumidifier. I didn't pay almost $170 to empty a dehumidifier and spend my night in a damp room with the constant noise of a dehumidifier. Didn't dare use the jacuzzi as there was enough of a dampnes... Ate at their restaurant last night. They had a couple of dinner specials, one being a 20oz ribeye, so I decided to order. Ordered medium rare. 3 if us at our table ordered steak and all 3 came out the same. One side was over cooked and one side was extremely under cooked. Mine was the worst and was very rare, almost blue. I asked to have it cooked longer and when it came back, the entire steak was well done. Along with it being under then over cooked, the steak had absolutely no seasoning on it. It was a piece of meat thrown on the grill. This restaurant was beyond dissapointing, especially for spending as much as we did on dinner. I definitely will not be back and would 100% not recommend.
Waubee Lodge genuine log cabin dining....EXCELLENT FOOD, SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE!! A must stop destination. LRge dining balcony overlooks a beautiful northwoods lake.
Beautiful place for a weekend away. But for events it is absolutely terrible. Room rates sky rocket in price. They cancelled my reservation after I had payed and gave me a tiny room. Run away if your thinking about doing an event here. They lost a
