The Cho in Lakeway has great sushi and hot Japanese cuisine. Some creative rolls and sashimi dishes, great basics . A surprisingly good sake selection including some higher end stuff for those who like that. Fish is very fresh. Not cheap, but hey, it 's sushi. Service friendly and attentive (wait staff tend to be gringos but have good familiarity with menu including the Japanese names). And a whole lot less cost than... View all feedback.
What FriscoTxMom doesn't like about Cho Sushi Japanese Fusion-lakeway:
To start, take a look at the title of this review. The hostess seemed puzzled when I mentioned my reservation made through Open Table, claiming they had "stopped paying for it." Food was really great, prices as expected, however staff is untrained...in an empty restaurant at 5:15 we were offered the four-top closest to the busy door and the bar...seemed put out when we requested a different table, then we had to wait for the House Valentine 's special drink Romeo and Juliet because the bar staff was trying to figure out how to make it, (we saw them tasting it as they tried... the food was good though.

We have been twice in the last three months and have been very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere both times. We will be dining there on a regular basis!
Our server which Michelle was so good!!!! The food was very good and we have the same thing every time we go to start off.
Have been several times. The food is always very good. The service is typically poor to below average. (when someone orders a bottle of wine, it should never be brought to the table already opened, then poured without a taste... The wine list is pretty weak. It's frustrating. It wouldn't take too much effort to up the overall experience, but it doesn't seem to happen...
