Wine In The Willows - LAKEPORT

Every time we go to Wine in the Willows we enjoy ourselves. It doesn't matter what the occasion or what is going on there, it's always great!!

Much of the Lake County grape production is shipped to Napa to feature in top wines. At Wine in the Willows we had the chance to sample wines produced more locally, at source… and it was great. Co-owner, Scott, was knowledgeable and passionate about Lake County wines. No hard-sell or up-sell. A friendly steer ‘how about this one, it’s pretty special’ followed by an interesting description of the wine, winery and production. We tried several by-the-glass wines in the pretty courtyard garden. All were all excellent as was the charcuterie platter (especially that dill cheese). Napa is beautiful but so expensive. These wines were more affordable but easily stood up to the competition. For a wine lover this place should be on the map as a destination to enjoy.

Lovely and cozy wine bar in Lakeport, CA! Scott and Cinnamon are wonderful hosts. Scott recommended a fabulous Petit Syrah from a local boutique winery. The flatbread pizza was amazing. Ambience was cozy and homey. We had an absolutely great time even though we lost the Thursday Night Trivia game!

What a lovely find on our road trip through CA!The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. Scott and Cinnamon were friendly and informative about the wines they offered from local boutique wineries. Scott made some great suggestions and we ended up getting an absolutely amazing Petit Syrah and yummy flatbread pizza.A nice selection of local wines. It was a nice relaxing evening!

Visiting in northern California at Lakeport on Clear Lake. Tom was a wealth of information about local wineries and suggestions for places to go. We went back for a trivia night, and enjoyed the atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping in for a great glass of wine or a micro brew. Try the garlic gorgonzola bread. It's fantastic.
