Great food, worth the wait. I ordered Le Waffle Lyonnaise (large stack of waffles with black forest, ham, fried egg, arugula hollandaise sauce. Fantastic! Busy hopping place for Sunday brunch. Indoor outdoor seating. View all feedback.
What George S. Raptis doesn't like about Babica Hen Cafe:
I think we got class discriminated against. The hostesses are rude and scoff with body language and were wreckless and careless about seating us. Sorry, we're not rich white blond girls. We're not coming back. This place is classist and rude. I imagine the little pride flags are probably misleading. View all feedback.
My experience at Babica can only be described as Ok . I had the corned beef hash, and my boyfriend had the pork schnitzel with coconut yogurt. My corned beef hash wasn 't prepared well or tasty, but the schnitzel was good. The coconut yogurt was one of the best I 've had. The service was bad as to be expected at a place with automatic gratuity. Our server came by to take a drink order, and we said we were good with water. Without waiting for the food order, he walked away and my boyfriend had to go find after 10 minutes of waiting. This was unfortunately the tone for our entire meal. In the end, another server--Lydia--came over, took the hash off the ticket for us, and cashed us out. I left her an extra tip. The reviews/photos really disappointed me. Even my corned beef hash looked amazing, but just didn 't taste like anything and was partly undercooked.
The food was delicious and big portioned (wish I had some water to swallow the food down better, I had to drink my sisters water she is so good to me) but I think it’s just a bit much to automatically charge everyone 18% gratuity on the bill, it should be our/customer choice to do so more or less. Not for the service me and my sisters got, I had to flag down our waitress for a refill on our water from the hot day a few time during our visit, waitress there seemed irritated and unhappy and pushy. It was loud in there too, I was not impress sadly.
Food was really good! If it’s busy, be prepared for a little bit of a way. My first time there; can’t wait to go back and try other menu items.
