Mr Taco - Lake Isabella

Best asada burrito in town. Now if only they would open up earlier.

I was excited to finally try the famous Mr. Taco in Isabellasee. I waited over 20 minutes since they had just opened, which is no problem when waiting for good food. However, once I got home and opened my container with the burger, I found a hair in it. I contacted the restaurant, spoke to a young lady, and wasted even more time trying to get a refund. I ultimately decided not to eat any of it. I have had bad experiences at other restaurants before, like forgetting an item or encountering rude staff, but my experience at Mr. Taco was one I will not be returning to.

This place is amazing! If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Dining here is always a wonderful experience. I dine here frequently and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, the food is always delicious and served quickly. Everyone should try this place, you won't be disappointed.

I was told right from the start that the shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing! They have a great taste with a good amount of flavors, and I love how the shrimp is crushed and not just a large shrimp. The sauce pairs well with the shrimp and overall, it's a large taco (3 stars). However, the asada is lacking in taste. My husband had 4 asada tacos and I had an asada burrito. The burrito had the usual rice and beans along with salsa, but it honestly felt like they only cooked the meat without seasoning it. Compared to what I get in Bakersfield, this was quite bland.

I recently enjoyed a takeout lunch at this restaurant. The price per person was very affordable, between $1 and $10. The food was excellent, receiving a 5-star rating from me. The service was also top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff earning another 5 stars. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and enjoyable, rated a 5 as well. Additionally, there was plenty of parking available.
