Southern Vittles - Lake City

This is the top spot to dine in Lake City! They serve delicious, reasonably priced regular food. They provide great service to Texans and have some of the best sweet tea I've had in Colorado during the few years I've been visiting.

This restaurant is consistently high-quality with delicious comfort food and great service. Make sure to put Southern Vittles on your list of must-visit spots in Lake City!

The server was unfriendly and had to be flagged down in order to get a refill.

I have dined at this restaurant twice in the past few weeks. I didn't experience any issues with the food being too fatty like another reviewer mentioned. The burgers, chicken fried steak, and catfish were all delicious. The French fries could be crispier and more seasoned, but they were still decent. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the pulled pork nachos - they were poorly conceived and poorly executed. On the bright side, they offer Blue Bell ice cream and Dr. Pepper, which adds to the charm of the restaurant.

During our weekend OHV ride in Lake City, we decided to stop by a restaurant recommended by the chamber. The Southern cuisine there was exactly what we were looking for.
