We visited this restaurant on our honeymoon and ended up indulging in more than just our diet, as we were tired of the usual fare. The mocha coffee milkshake was simply the best my wife and I have ever had! The bread they serve is so delicious that we ended up ordering some to take home! To top it off, they were kind enough to give us a complimentary dish because it was accidentally included in our order. The owners... View all feedback.
What Christine Cheng doesn't like about Island Press Coffee:
The coffee selection at this place consists of medium and dark roasts. Unfortunately, the pour-over was quite disappointing; it was extremely bitter and didn’t adhere to the preparation method I’m accustomed to. If you prefer lighter roast coffee, I wouldn't recommend this shop. View all feedback.
As for accessibility, there are curb cuts and limited space inside the building, with accessible parking spots available right in front. Seating is only available outdoors. The menu includes kombucha, coffee, tea, and snacks. The staff were helpful, kind, and busy. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms available. The atmosphere is cute and cozy, perfect for enjoying coffee. Pets are welcome outside on a leash, and the place is kid-friendly.
I had a frappe, pound cake, and a ham and cheese croissant, and everything was delicious! This is my second favorite coffee spot in Maui, and I will definitely return the next time I'm on the island. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the pound cake was absolutely amazing. My cousin ordered a latte and said it was fantastic as well.
1. **Excellent Coffee**: I kept it simple and ordered a classic drip coffee, and it was fantastic. Considering the prices at other places on the island, this one felt quite reasonable. Sure, you could get the exact same drink you've always had at Starbucks, but why travel 10 hours just to stick to your usual Tuesday routine? 2. **Tasty Breakfast Sandwich**: They serve a delicious breakfast sandwich on a warm croissant, filled with ham, egg, and cheese, which really hits the spot. 3. **Kid-Friendly**: I brought my kids to the island, and we made a stop here early in the morning to energize for the day. They have bagels with Nutella, which means you should definitely grab some extra napkins! 4. **Outdoor Seating**: There’s outdoor seating available, allowing the kids to run around while you relax in the sun with your coffee and breakfast, enjoying the fact that this Tuesday morning is anything but ordinary. 5. **Locals Love It**: I noticed locals coming in for their coffee, and I always enjoy going where the locals go. They know when they're being overcharged for mediocre coffee, and they know they won't find that here. Overall, Island Press Coffee offers a true local experience that you won’t want to miss.
Very rude employees. When they make orders obviously incorrectly they deny the mistake and refuse to rectify.
This place has changed. We used to love this place. The employees are nice, but the tables are always dirty. , need repairs and chairs not in good shape, bixes stacked in front of empty shelves. One of the employees today didn't know how to make a latte. Honestly, don't know what happened. Too bad, we used to love coming here.
