We very much enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant. The meal was good but not as spicy as we expected. The drinks were great. There were too many people involved in the service. They did not know what we ordered between them. View all feedback.
What Flo Shields doesn't like about La Golondrina:
The ambulance was completely destroyed by the new construction site. The food was delicious and the service was good. Prices have risen significantly. We can return, but after 20 years of visits this experience was disappointing. View all feedback.
Great service, food and ambiance. It was my birthday and everything was perfect. I have been coming here for years.
We made reservations for 6:30 and arrived on time and were seated immediately. Waiter came to give us the drink menu and everyone was gracious. The patio was beautiful and lush; a musician was playing guitar and singing American songs, from Elvis to Maroon 5. The drinks were fabulous, the service and meal impeccable! We ordered to share a salad and the steak and lobster combo- there was no push to order more and the waiter professionally split the meal into two on separate plates. Everything was delicious! There were only a few other diners so I commented that I didn’t understand why there weren’t more. Perhaps it was an off day- Sunday- and not many tourists…? The waiter kindly offered to take our photo and then validated our parking ticket. The meal was LESS than CaboWabo and more food. We would highly recommend La Golodrina for dinner!
I have been coming to this restaurant since 1993. Apparently it closed between 2021 and 2022. We returned in 2024 to find that the restaurant had closed 50% of the property and significantly reduced the menu. The service was disappointing. We were offered bottled water but much am I surprised it did not include a glass so we had to request one. The menu claimed that each person would receive soup and garlic bread and yet we had to ultimately request the garlic bread I had the same dish I always order a deep-fried red snapper, which was excellent, the vanilla bread pudding was amongst the best I’ve ever tasted. Sadly, the restaurant was only one quarter filled on a Saturday night. It had lost its warm and romantic ambience. They had removed the lighting around the only remaining tree. Sadly, the only reason for me to return would be for the grilled red snapper.
The food was amazing along with the entire staff. I 100% recommend this restaurant when in Cabo! Don't forget to order the Mexican Coffee!
One of my favority seafood restaGolondrina Margarita and it was so good I had another. We started with the cream of potato soup which was very good. My wife and I both had the catch of the day (seabass). She had hers Aculpoco style and I had mine Cajun style. Both were excellent. Service was very attentive. Great outdoor seating, a neighborhood gem.
