All Star Bakeshop - Lafayette

My wife and I were in town for a wedding from Idaho in April. It was a Saturday and few bakeries were open. My wife bakes and we wanted to try something from Louisiana. It was our first time being there. We saw on Google their store closed at 6pm. Weshowed up with a few minutes to spare not realizing Star?s Bakeshop hadn?t updated their hours on Google from 6pm to 5pm. Beingblissfully unaware of any closed signs as we pulled in, my wife and I got out of our car got to the front doors and saw theclosed sign! I pulled on the door, looking at my watch, clearly seeing it wasn?t 6pm yet! Immediately one of the employees cameout and said, sorry, we closed at 5pm. I said, at 5pm?! On Google it says 6pm. I told him we are out of town and asked if he hadanything available to sell? He said he did. He let us come in and we purchased a bunch of desserts, left him a good tip and wenton our way! My wife and I appreciated this employee allowing us to come in, even after hours, and purchase some desserts! He wasreally nice. I can?t remember his name! Had a smile on his face the whole time! The desserts though, were so delicious! Wepurchased 4 different types of desserts. I wish I could remember what they were. We were not disappointed with our experiencethere! I don?t know if we will ever go back to Lafayette ever again. Our friends live in Georgia. But if we do we willdefinitely stop by again!

Star is AMAZING! On Saturday we had a crawfish boil birthday party for my daughter and this is the cake that Star made for us! She's been our go-to for a few years and she never disappoints! The cake is always moist and BEAUTIFUL to look at!

Star?s bake shop was a highlight of my trip to Lafayette. I got the cheesecake and it was heavenly. The shop is cute and I will definitely come back!!!

Every time I come here I treat myself to my favorite, a brownie?it?s so soft, just the right amount of sweet and it?s always a generous piece. I?ve purchased the peach cobbler for my Dad and recently the red velvet cheesecake for a friend needless tosay they absolutely loved both and always ask where I get the desserts. Always great, friendly service and will always be mynumber 1 stop for any sweets. She also serves lunch that will be the next thing I try!
