Friends, let's go back to this hotel seven times, this is the best hotel on the island. Trying to find a better place, but it didn't work, back! There is an amazing spa treatment of dirt, therma, etc. There's a wish to come back here! But you have to take a season for yourself, someone to rest, and who to treat! Good luck to all of you. Just back from an absolutely amazing stay at the Regina Isabella, Ischia, which we loved! This is a beautiful hotel full of classic style sophistication and from the moment we were greeted by the wonderful Lucia, nothing could be faulted. The service here is first rate and nothing is too much trouble, harking back to a bygone era rarely found in contemporary 5* hotels. The food in La Dolce Vita restaurant was outstanding, with a delicious array of options to chose from (the Parmigiana di Melanzane is to die for! . Lovely and very warm salted outdoor pool and great areas to lounge around in a take a dip in the small lagoon or sea. Drinks food served on the terrace while you relax. Our bedroom, with sea facing balcony, was spacious and very comfortable and afforded us everything we needed. The Thermal Spa is top notch, as is the gym, and so there's plenty to distract you if you get tired of just sitting around being pampered. A truly outstanding hotel on a beautiful island in a stunning location. Closes soon for winter but we gather they are undertaking extensive further development of the thermal spa and so by April 24 there will be even more to enjoy.

I had really high hopes for this stay but was sooooo disappointed. The setup in general was strange as it felt like a maze to get around the hotel. The service and hospitality really really lacked. At breakfast I had to go up to multiple people to ask for a coffee who all seemed rather annoyed. Also nothing from dinner the night before had be cleaned so there were dirty table clothes, used wine glasses and trays still laying everywhere. At 22:30 one evening we had two people barge into our room unannounced. We screamed as it was pretty startling and when we called down to the front desk to ask who it was even they were shocked. We wondered if it could be housekeeping as that would have given us peace of mind, but were assured it wasn’t and that “no one is authorized to have a key and they had no idea who it could be.” This obviously freaked us out a bit and when we asked if they could look into this we were quickly dismissed. The next morning a manager came to speak to us who was also dismissive and just said it was house keeping and basically “we were wrong, they are right and they did knock three times and did all the correct things and it’s our fault they came so late because they could have sworn they heard us in the room earlier.” non of which was true so it just was a really disappointing way to handle the whole situation. Only positive is the lifeguards/people working poolside we’re friendly. We literally spent basically the same per night as our stay at Mezzatorre which is ABSURD!!! Go to Mezzatorre instead (right around the corner) for the most incredible stay of your life. Rooms: Big rooms but nothing special and no unique touches. Broken coffee machine we never could get fixed.
