Tonic on Chirn - LABRADOR

My partner and I often go to tonic and love it. determined to take the extended family today 20/11/22. the weather was 32deg and we realized everything that was cool the restaurant was a fan at the door. I feel like a facility. like tonic, even a reverse cycle air conditioning is of utmost importance for the comfort of its customers. at least some industrial wallfans. it was very unpleasant. eating as usual was good, but we ordered 2 lots of pigs and were told that she was just one that was around 12.30 o'clock. I was a little disappointed to say the least after the raving about what a big little restaurant we have near us. I think you need to set up your game.

The service of all employees was fantastic. the menu for tapas had a good variety. we tried the cloves, scallops, kibble, calamari and auberginen tacos. eating was sensational. the timing of the teller allowed us enough time to enjoy the eating and chat. we weren't going.

We arrived around 6 p.m. Saturday as a group of 8, pre-booked. The staff directed us to a table where we were seated for a full 2 hours before receiving our dinner order. We were constantly pestered by the restaurant staff can we get you...more drinks . We subsequently learned that the current Chef was drunk and was late arriving for his shift, he was not only incapable of arriving on time, let alone working. When our food order eventually arrived, it was extremely disappointing, my meal was cold and un-edible, when I complained, I was suddenly the biggest, badest person around, the restuarant staff were uninterested dismissive of our complaints about the food poor service. When I threatened not to pay for food that was so poor quaulity, I received angry aggressive threats..... this restuarant has no interest in fixing any of their problems. We ended up paying for the bad food and left without eating any of it and went on to another venue. Don 't waste your time with this restuarant! Neither I nor any of our friends will ever go back there again. Appalling and bullying service, just a disgrace! These people should not be operating a business!!!

Very cool spot with a fun, edgy vibe. Great for a catch up with friends, or even a fist date. Awesome share dishes (tapas style) and always fun and creative cocktails on offer.

I enjoy this restaurant, but I wish they would change their menu seasonally or offer additional special dishes occasionally. Having monthly specials would be a great addition. I have tried everything on the menu and while there are some dishes I like, there are others that I would not order again. The menu is small and all dishes are tapas plates, so there is not much of a selection for me. The cocktails are excellent and the bartenders are very helpful in creating custom drinks not on the menu. The restaurant is pet friendly, but outdoor seating is limited and pets must stay 5 meters away from tables. It was frustrating when our dog tried to get closer to us and out of the sun, but she was not allowed under the table. We no longer bring her here because of this inconvenience.
