We stopped here for coffee, and to get a packed lunch for the next leg of the trail (AV1). It was a very busy lodge at 10am, but the staff was quite nice, helpful, and they had a good public bathroom as well. The dining area appears very nice, warm, and traditional. View all feedback.
What 886laurenn doesn't like about Rifugio Passo Duran C. Tome:
Stayed at Rif Passo Duran C Tome as part of our Alta Via 1 tour. Very friendly staff, however lacked motivation which reflected on the state of the Refugio (dormitory door didn't close, dead cockroaches on the benches, no heating in the dorm as gas has run out, dirty sheets, unclean bathrooms,... . Better stay at nearby Rif San Sebastiano or Rif Casteliano. View all feedback.
Stayed there for one night during our Alta Via 1 trip. Would stay again. The only thing that I didn't enjoy so much was the large amount of people in one dormitory room (10 persons in total) and one of the toilet doors didn't have a key. Otherwise, everything was great for a half board price of 38 EUR you can get a lovely 3 course dinner and okay ish breakfast, and there is no separate fee for hot shower. Pricewise a very good choice. But if you want to enjoy a view from the top of the mountain along with the morning coffee, you should pick a different location.

Se si desidera godersi un bel tramonto senza confusione, c'è il Passo Duran, dove si può passeggiare, raggiungere il rifugio Bruto Carestiato e altro ancora.
Convenient location at Passo Duran on Rd SP347 on our trek on the AV1. 2.5 stars. Dinner is typical fare. Large portions. Limited pastries for snacks Limited wine selection, only 4 reds but one good local one. Very friendly staff. Typical dorm rooms downstairs that open directly to outside so don't need a boot room. Few outlets. Very little storage space in room. No shelves/lights at each bunk. Nice bathroom to ourselves between 2 bunk rooms. Free showers w great water pressure and hot water. Need your own towel. Water assumed to be not potable.
