We dined at Spoons for the first time last night, and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We started with two appetizers: the dumplings and hush puppies, and then we shared the Bulgogi, which was perfect! Our waiter, Brad, was wonderful and great with kids. Highly recommended! I love Korean BBQ.... I love serving beer! Wow. It's almost like heaven. The food is delicious and the staff is freendly. Did I mention they serve your own beer? Great idea! I would also like to add that I have eaten with the Health Officer at lunch with numerous occupants and can check whether the kitchen is clean and sanitary practices are well above the level.
I'm so glad this place is so close to my house. In the past week. I've been twice. The food here is surprisingly delicious.
Korean Ribeye bbq is probably one of the most underrated places around. Particularly late night when the rest of the restaurants shut down, your K BBQ stays up! What I like, a rare Portland/ Left coast style music late night indie vibe, machine beer serve, clean table, and undeservedly empty late night restaurant is where your day's story begins. Haven't met the owner but I like the direction he's going. The Korean Ribeye is worth your time.
They've had a big change in the restaurant lately, shifting from wait staff and table service to a counter that you order at (then they bring the food to your table). Also some reconfiguration in the seating area (booths are gone and now have tables). Menu is changed a bit too but mostly the same. A pretty good beer selection including some from Korea and some local Maryland beers. The food is good (especially the bulgogi and beef dishes) and service is quicker than before- an improvement. Well worth visiting.
I had a fantastic experience! Our bartender was quick and very friendly. The food quality was excellent, and you really get your money's worth. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and I ordered a custom bowl. Thank you, Karissa! (I apologize for getting your name wrong!)
