Great place to have a coffee and a light meal. Their cakes are very tasty and substantial. Try the huminta , a traditional corn cake. They also sell their own coffee in grains or in powder. They have two different tastes Varanasi and Madison and they come on American or European toasting. They run several restaurants in La Paz. View all feedback.
Love this place (and apparently locals do too given that it's usually packed while other restaurants nearby are close to empty ! I lived a few blocks away for 7 weeks and went here nearly every day that I wasn't in the mountains. It may not be cheap by Bolivian standards, but it's slightly less expensive than a comparable place would cost in the United States, and you get what you pay for. The service is always friendly and usually quite fast. For those who struggle with Spanish, each menu item has a picture (and most item names, even if not descriptions, are translated to English . The salads are the best I've found in Bolivia, and the wraps are delicious too. The smoothies generally aren't as delicious in Bolivia as what I've experienced in Peru, but the frappe (sp? here is the closest I've found. Highly recommend this place!
As I have said before, this is a nice place to have a coffee and catch up with friends as I did today : excellent Bolivian coffee and this time I have tasted Huminta (it's a biscuit maid of corn, typical from Bolivia it is like a Tamal, but Alexander's Huminta has some special ingredients Albahaca which made it delicious and a yellow corn because typically is with white corn .
Best croissant found around this area and the nicest staff!! Always with a smile
Clean, good service, good food! Been to a few of their locations and it’s always a good experience and open good hours in comparison to some more local places
A bit more spacious areas may be required for a group of three and more..
