Last night had a wonderful evening with drinks and dinner during sunset....mesmerizing! The staff was friendly and helped my navigation. Chose the chicken breast with garlic and was not disappointed. However, I recommend a tip to add Cilantro to the potato wedges for an additional kick like Diadems Lounge in Prüm, Germany. Minor cons were the tasteless Sangria and the overpriced German giant $40 a bottle. I bought th... View all feedback.
What Eugene Franecki doesn't like about Georges at the Cove:
Incredibly good food... terrible experience. We were with friends living in La Jolla... we all knew Georges was good for excellent food... some of the best in San Diego County. And... we knew it would be expensive... why not... the best things in life. While we ate our appetizers, our duck came. From there... including the check delivery... for a few hundred dollars... We knew they didn't plan anything except to turn... View all feedback.
Great place to eat. A little on the expensive side, but looking at the Pacific. Service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was great. A great experience that if in the area, should be eating on your list.
Impressed. We had reservations on the roof terrace for 4:30 today. We got a phone call from the restaurant at 1:00 by telling us that the rooftop terrace would be weather permit, and they offered us a table below. Such a attentive and appreciated call! When we arrived, the rain had not yet begun, and we could sit outside, man, woman, 2 4yo. Unbelievable view. The children crushed their salmon and broccoli- a refreshing meal after several days in Disneyland. Adults had the swordfish, Steak, side of the fries for the table. Drinks: Margherita and old fashions. Finished with a cappuccino and a brownie/coconut ice cream as a dessert for the table. All were phenomenal, tasteful, well prepared, perfect serving sensations. We're food, and that was all great. To finish it, Hank our server, was a full pleasure to have as our company. Good, humorous, attentive, thoughtful. He was informed about the menu, provided ideal meals for a family with young children (Kids meal first). He was so refreshing, and unlike many, has mastered the art of conversation. Thank you. Hank, to help us have such a relaxed, wonderful holiday evening!
GORGEOUS VIEWS! Great food. I can't wait to come back. The peel and eat shrimp is really tasty. The salmon and steak were delicious. The chocolate dessert.....OMG!!
The food tasted amazing!! I ordered the roasted half chicken whole my friend bought the lasagna. We ended with a warm chocolate cake for dessert. Our dessert was frozen cold when we first received it, but after I mentioned it to our server, they switched it out right away and brought over a delicious cake. There are three floors, which are all different. The bottom floor is closed with window views of the ocean, second floor has open windows while the top floor is open all around. If you're trying to get a good view, go during the day since you can't see much at night.
Had family lunch here. The waiter was really nice and thank you for great service. I ordered Fried Octopus and it was really good. First time trying Octopus. And a Burger and it was really delicious thank you to the cooks I give them credit as well. Mom was really satisfied with her meal also same with my Brother. I'm from Omaha Nebraska so I really suggest that this Restaurant is really good and highly recommended people to try it. Table was really clean. Thank you all the Chefs Waitress Waiters and Cashers to everyone who works there for your awesome work and keep up the good work.
