This was our first experience with takeout from this restaurant, and I don't think we'll be trying it again. The portion sizes were incredibly small, and the food arrived cold, as if it had just come out of the refrigerator. The guacamole was brown, and the sour cream was nearly melted. I usually love this restaurant, but I feel they don't treat their takeout customers well. View all feedback.
What Chris Turkington doesn't like about El Errdero Mexican Rest:
The food arrived quickly and the portion size was good but the server basically vanished after our food arrived. The restaurant was quite empty but we never saw her again for beverage refills or to ask for the check. Eventually we got tired of waiting and stood at the counter where we were assisted by someone else after a few minutes. View all feedback.
Pretty festive atmosphere but that's about it. our server was pretty and nice. but the service was terrible. food was really greasy. guacamole did not taste right. I'm no expert but, Curry does not belong in guacamole. I don't care how you try to spin it to make it your own those profiles just don't line up. my margarita that came in a beer glass was all mix. save your money and stay home.
El Decepción is a more fitting name. The food was bad, really bad. Everything was very bland and absolutely soaking in oil. My $3.50 side of guac came fresh served... yesterday maybe... Glasses, booths, silverware, and plates were dirty and stained, not that stained is necessarily a deal breaker, but the entire atmosphere of the restaurant was old and musky so I can only imagine how bad the kitchen is. The beans that came with the chips and salsa definitely tasted reheated from yesterday and were cold in the middle (thanks for the microwaved meal). I could only stomach about 1/3rd of my meal before the overwhelming amount of oil made me sick as a dog.Skip this place, not sure where the positive reviews came from but perhaps this old restaurant has seen better days.
The salsa, and the ? cocktail was spicy than the one in 'La Fiesta '; but they serve the cocktail in a glass goblet which makes it look more appealing. But the owner dwadles when it comes to showing up at the register to pay for the bill, and there were no napkins when I was shown to my table, which was why there 's a few customers. If you like it less spicy, and a well organized Mexican restaurant, La Fiesta will be your place; or if you like it spicy, and be willing to deal with a dwadling owner that hardly comes to the register, El Erradero will be your place.

I really like their food. Nothing really stands out, but their quality of food made makes me want to come back.
