This simple beach restaurant is a total joy. The young cheerful staff manage to be laid back and efficient. The food has improved noticeably from last year. It is great value too. We had super nems (vietnamese spring rolls) to start and teally wonderful calamari...a la plancha to follow. Good house rose and plenty of ice cold water too. This place is really at the top of its game and right on the sea. It beats everywhere on Pampelonne in every department. A must visit !
Worth a visit for its easy, unpretentious vibe. Food is okay but doesn't pretend otherwise (unlike Le Refuge, down the road, which sells the dream and lives the nightmare). Easy-going and friendly staff.
The location of is this restaurant is excellent, right on the beach. The service is friendly but really chaotic. The food was so so, the fish soup was just not good, it even seemed it went bad. Our main dishes were mussels, those were marinated...nicely but were very tiny and we didn't get a sauce with them. The fench fries were excellent. All in all, to expensive for the quality of service and food.
To sit in the shadow with your feet in the sand and eat their ” nems”. That’s what we do at least twice a week when we are here for a month in September. Friendly staff as well. You can’t book for lunch so be...in time!
In short: sunset dinners in September innovative cuisine of good quality. Young, friendly and accommodating staff, which is remarkable considering this is almost the end of a long and busy season. See you next year.
