When we visited, the dining room was no longer in use, and we had to place our orders at the cash register. This can be a bit confusing, especially for first-time visitors. The menu is quite simple, and the prices are relatively high considering the quality of the food. If you want to eat, the process involves going back to the veranda and waiting for someone to bring your meal to you, which made the experience feel more like a picnic than a culinary outing. If you need additional seasonings like salt, you have to ask for them. Furthermore, we found ourselves constantly swatting away yellow jackets while eating. All in all, it felt like the restaurant is resting on its laurels. I can imagine that it might have once been a four or five-star establishment, but I would only rate it three stars. This rating is primarily due to the overall mediocrity of the experience.

This place was the perfect short getaway! We spent the first few days of our week off there, and it was exactly what we were looking for. It reminded us of the location where Morgan sings. We can't wait to return!

River Place is a fantastic spot to visit! We stayed there and will definitely be back again soon—I'm already looking to book for next week. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly sweet! We experienced great service every day we were there!

I had a fantastic day outside! The kayak rentals and the 4-mile river trip were excellent, taking around 2.5 to 3 hours to complete. Afterward, we enjoyed dinner and live music on the back porch, which was amazing. A helpful tip: if you order the children's special, you'll get an appetizer and dessert included. I highly recommend this experience!
