Lovely atmosphere in the beautiful garden. The food is grilled on a wood fire, giving it a great roasted taste. The host was friendly and the prices very reasonable. During the evening the playful cats provided free entertainment. The restaurant is located on a really quiet road, I can recommend walking around a bit before/after your dinner, we saw rabbits and a turtle. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Very special and authentic restaurant. The food is good and the location is very unique. This is the only restaurant where we were the only non local diners. The only downside is the rude cats that tried to actively steal food from us and the mosquitos from the stream.

Another hidden gem found! This was my first visit but it would definitely not be my last. This is actually a place in the fields called “metochi” in Greek which was transformed into a tavern. Even though this is 100% traditional food the tavern has its own unique characteristics. The food is awesome and is cooked in live wood fire like in the old days (parastia). A little bit of heaven. Incredibly great food (try the rib eye! , local wines and off the chart fantastic service and idyllic venue. So reasonably priced we were amazed. We loved this off the beaten track place so much we went back twice Our last night in Crete included. Fantastic.

Food was amazing, the place is really beautiful, peaceful with a good atmosphere!! Thanks a lot to the owner who was really nice and efficient!
