We visited during the afternoon special where everything was 40% off from 3:00-5:00pm. We ordered a variety of sushi which was delicious and beautifully presented. I was pleasantly surprised by the veg-friendly versions of raw seafood, as the flavors and textures were impressive. My omnivore friends even said that Ying's sushi tasted authentic. The prices are a bit high during regular hours, so I suggest going during... View all feedback.
What Camylle Frami doesn't like about Ying Vegetarian:
I ordered the mock eel with claypot rice. The mock eel was rather tasty, but in my option there wasn’t enough sauce, and way too much ginger. However the staff speaks English, the restaurant has an English menu, and I asked the owners who confirmed that they are 100% vegetarian. They do serve eggs, so check to make sure your dish doesn’t contain it. View all feedback.
Hey guys, I saw an earlier review asking whether it’s still open and serving plant based meats ... the answer is yes! As of July 4, 2019. I had number 521 the rice noodles w/ beef but only after 10 minutes of questioning whether it was a real plant based restaurant or not! They do not serve any meat, but there are eggs in some dishes like the fried rice (which you can ask them to leave out). I was really surprised to find this place serving vegan sushi and meats in this part of the city. It was a pleasant surprise! I stayed at the Yess Inn hostel just 2 minutes walk away. I recommended that spot for any travelers needing a cheap place to stay. Roomed with 2 other people from US and Canada was a nice stay.
Various types. Sashimi roll is a kind of Japanese cuisine that can be enjoyed such as Okonomiyaki roasted pork. But really delicious. The card is not accepted ᅲ
I came here for a few times. The food here is great though it 's usually a bit slow. The place is not big. A little bit crowded especially in dinner time. Many choices here. My favorite is Soft Shell Crab rolls.
I had two vegan soft crabs sushi, with and without avocado. They were delicious and fresh, although (or perhaps because! they did not really taste like soft crabs. They must be told that they do not add an egg to fried rice. The sushi sauce has sauce with milk, so I just used soy sauce. Typical HK Fast Food, fast service restaurant. Not too crowded at 1 o'clock.
I went on a Sunday after 3:00 because they offered 20% discount. The place was not very crowded and food came on time. Your sushi is great! Not many Hk places do vegetarian sushi, so I come here specifically for it. Conveniently located. Friendly staff.
