They graciously let me come in for dinner at 9.30pm despite getting ready to close. Dumplings were not quite steamed fully but tasted good. Spicy Thai rice noodles were not at all spicy, even with extra spicy sauce, but clearly resembled my beloved pad see ew so I was happy. Quite oily and could do with more veggies. Huge servings. I had a great dine-in experience at the Tsuen Wan branch last week, so I opted to get takeout from the same branch. Huge selection of different dishes. Very delicious. Maybe it's better to make a reservation first.
I had a great dine-in experience at the Tsuen Wan branch last week, so I opted to get takeout from the same branch. The staff kindly informed me that the barbecue pork contained honey and allowed me to substitute it for another mock meat in the roast meat platter. I ordered the roast meat platter, savory lotus root cake, and spicy fried eggplant. Unfortunately, the mock intestines were chewy instead of crispy like in the Tsuen Wan branch, the lotus root cakes were too hard, and the eggplant was lacking in flavor.
There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from at this restaurant, all of which are very delicious. It might be a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation before going.
We tried the lunch set menu for two people and found the portion to be just right. We particularly enjoyed the sweet and sour pork dish, as well as the fried noodles which had a strong wok hey flavor.
I was able to come for dinner at 9:30, even though they were about to close. The dumplings were not very moist, but they had a good flavor. The Thai rice noodles with spices were not very spicy, even with extra sauce, but they reminded me of my favorite pad see ew, so I was satisfied. The dish was oily and could use more vegetables. The portions were large.
