The staff were incredibly attent... read more The restaurant has a beautiful arrangement, with cozy couches and chairs, a clean environment, chandeliers, and even VIP rooms. The staff were incredibly attentive, which made me feel like my husband had set up a surprise (he hadn’t, though!). Our server handed us a tablet for ordering (wow, electronic ordering – my first time!). My husband asked about the best sellers since we didn’t realize it had just opened, but one of the owners, Pudo, came over. He looked Asian but distinctly not Filipino, and he spoke to us in English with a slight Asian accent. He recommended we try the Tandoori Chicken, Dal Makhani, and Vegetable Biryani. While our food was being prepared, they promptly served us hot tea and some legumes – a great start! I appreciate being served hot tea before the meal. When our orders arrived, I could already smell the Indian spices (thanks to my former Indian boss, I recognize them well). It was appetizing! As we enjoyed our food, a crew member checked in on us to ask how everything was, which we really appreciated. A second point for great service! Nearing the end of our meal, Pudo returned to see how we were doing again, which he did for other guests as well. Another owner named Raju came over to greet us and engage in a quick but meaningful conversation (my husband seems to excel at chatting up the owners, haha). Things moved quickly from there – Raju was pleased and even introduced us to their Indian chef. Before he left, he instructed one of the staff to give us a 20% discount. Wow, Raju, an immediate 5 points from me!!! We hadn’t even mentioned that it was our anniversary! Then when my husband told him it was our anniversary, Raju treated us to a freshly made Indian bread! Another 5 points! He also offered us complimentary shisha – wait, what’s that? (Haha, it’s smoke; my husband, who doesn’t smoke, said he just wanted to be courteous and try it out.) I’m rambling now, but I wanted to express our gratitude to Little Asia, to its owners Raju and Pudo, and to all the crew who entertained us, especially Karmin! We loved the food, but the service was extraordinary! You should definitely give them a try. Even in their soft opening phase, their service is already stellar. Starting in July, they’ll even have belly dancers performing every Thursday while guests dine. So, they’ve already surpassed 10 points in our book! Great job, Little Asia Bar and Restaurant! #PopTalk
