Boccalino Restaurant - KOOTENAY BAY

Amazing place to stay at, great room and if you either come and stay or even are just passing by, you definitely have to eat here. The food is amazing, the owners sure know what they are doing. The homemade soup, I could have eaten a gallon of it. We ordered the pizza, which is handmade and cooked in a wood burning pizza oven, the only way to go. And dessert, we had the apple and lemon tarts, if you love lemon curd that is made the way it is supposed to be made, you will love these. Also the handmade raspberry ice cream that Gisela had to wait 84 years to get the recipe, there is nothing better. You definitely have to add this place to your trip, it is worth it.

We had a fantastic getaway to celebrate our anniversary with the stay and dine special! Gisela and Yves were incredibly welcoming, and the dinner and breakfast were fantastic. The wood-fired pizzas were the best in the Kootenays. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and comfortable, with a cute, quaint, and clean vibe. We will definitely be returning and recommending this Kootenay gem to all of our friends and family.

We stopped in for recommendations and ended up trying the best ice cream I've ever had. The lemon flavor was heavenly, and the chocolate was equally delicious. The business is great, with fantastic staff. I'm looking forward to trying their pizza next time! A special thank you for the assistance and hospitality we received on a Sunday evening.

The best patio dining experience! So beautiful with humming birds and flowers blooming. The owner is wonderful, kind and knowledgeable. Fantastic food, refreshing cocktails and delicious desserts. We can't wait to visit again!

Wife and I went for dinner and it was fantastic from the start to finish. We had beef carpaccio to start (delicious), then Spätzle with mushrooms and chicken (my wife ate everything on the plate), and I had the roasted chicken with green curry sauce (very flavourful). We finished off the evening with three desserts: chocolate mousse, creme Brule with nectarine(beautiful flavour), and wonderful plum ice cream. Service was fantastic as well, never an issue! We would recommend 10/10. We are also staying in the motel and everything is clean and have had no problems!
