I am not going to write a whole lot of introduction for this place. Just a single sentence Hands down the best Sushi I have eaten anywhere in Kolkata. The quality of the fish is impeccable. Both the tuna and the salmon just melted in the mouth. I had never thought that raw tuna can taste this good. Each one of the sushi tasted heavenly! Noisy place. Nothing to dampen the noise level of people talking on their table, not even a table cloth or table mat or carpet, even the low ceiling reflects noise. Some plants around will help. Bad dull brown decor, horrible black dresses for stewards chefs cooks. Bad lighting. Tubelight from fridges hitting the eyes. Food Quality is fairly good. Although. I have dined at this restaurant in the Park Hotel, Park Street, Kolkata last week. Actually I got a deal for 5 course meal within very affordable price. I was accompanied by one of my colleagues. The ambiance is great. A guy was performing live music playing guitar. We first have some soups. Then some sort of Kebab. Drink was served. I chose white wine. As main course they served fish curry with butter nun, finally desserts. I liked the food. The location of the hotel is very good, Just near the park street junction. A nice place to dine with your family.
Food quality is really very nice and very tasty. Best place for casual dining and Bengali cuisine. Homely atmosphere. Behaviour is good.
I went for dinner on a Sunday night. Ordered Chicken Bharta and Laccha paratha. Both the dishes were excellent, service was good and there was live music of old 70s hindi songs. I enjoyed my food and the experience
I was there for lunch, I had selected Chicken reshmi kawab as starter and Lasooni Palak paneer and Butter phulka for main course. The kawab was average and It should have more soft and juicy. Palak paneer Lasooni was also average and was beyond my expectations from Saffron like restaurant. Service is excellent, ambiance is good, air conditioning is very good.
