We had Muslim friends, therefore we thought it would be good to eat here for halal food, based on local friend's recommendation. The tandoori bread was delicious and we ordered some dips to go with it. Also ordered the grilled platter, which is tasty. We finished off with Iranian hot tea. Service was friendly and pleasing. The restaurant environment was a bit worn down but it is still not that bad. Overall for 8 pax... View all feedback.

I was more than 20 times there. This Iranian restaurant is the best in Cologne and also compared to the Iranian restaurants in Aachen and Düsseldorf. I suggest to try Chenje and Barg kebap there. These 2 are the best options. I have tried all foods there and these two are the best.
The Food was realy tasteful and it tastes like the dishes in Iran. there was a really nice atmosphere.
I have tried almost all kinds of food there. I suggest to try Barg Kebab and as starter mirza ghasemi or Kashko Badenjan. Unfortunately Jo soup is not good, also kookoosabzi.
Alborz is a place I like to visit when I am around. The Persian food is excellent and not pricey at all. You get some free herbs with nan bread and can order a variety of dishes from the grill and more. The place is always full with local people which is always a good sign. I never had a problem to get a table though!
