I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant, with delicious food, excellent service, and reasonable prices. The sushi was particularly impressive. However, I found the miso soup to be lacking in flavor. Despite that, my overall dinner was enjoyable. What Devin doesn't like about Asian River:
Used to like this place, did a carry out today and not only was the price significantly higher than what their website listed but I received very low quality, poorly rolled gray/brown tuna in comically small portions. The tom yum had a whooping two equally tiny pieces of baby shrimp. Still tipped them despite the overcharge but not going back after seeing my food. I've never had shark that wasn't sweet, so that was a bit unusual. The beloved orange, eel, and avocado roll was quite good!
Are Asian River and Asia Cafe owned by the same people? Just a thought. Regardless, Asian River is closer to my home, and their sushi menu is both extensive and intriguing. It’s a small restaurant with quick service, and we've only done takeout so far.
