Amato's - KITTERY

This is not your standard truck stop restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing and they are quick to prepare your order. I had the Hot Pastrami Sandwich and a small pizza. Absolutely fantastic.

Food is always good. It would be great though if they’d employ people who didn’t have a fart stuck crossways. I get it, you’re miserable working here. But me ordering food shouldn’t be treated as an inconvenience. When Matt walked up to the counter, huffed and puffed, grabbed an order book and says “what do you want?” I definitely wasn’t impressed. I stay at the truck stop pretty frequently, and every time I’ve gone in it’s the same bad attitudes.

This Kittery, Maine Amato store has gotten SOOO much better. Food is made right now and bread fresh. Used to drive 20 miles to another Amato store to get a good sandwich.

Amato's is located inside a gas station, but the sandwiches are always delicious!

I had roast beef sandwich and steak and cheese hot sandwich. Was good. Not expensive at all. And they don’t make you to wait, it took them like 3-4 minutes to make it.
