The food was not ready for 45 minutes from the scheduled pick-up time. The service was terrible and I will never come back again. They need to get their act together.
I have given this location on Highland Road multiple chances, but I have consistently been disappointed. Delivery drivers always seem to get lost, even though they are on the same road as the restaurant. The food is consistently cold when it arrives. I decided to give it another try, but this time my baked potato was moldy. I will not be returning and will be getting my food from a different place in the future.
We ordered the crispy chicken, which they said would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes, but it took 35 minutes. The chicken was tough and flavorless, so I wouldn't order it again. My wife had the quarter white bun with salad, and that was delicious.
Our family of 4 (I, hubby, mother-in-law, sister) Thanksgiving dinner was very good. served hot and tasty! betty, our server, was the best. personable, prompt, courteous. will definitely return and ask to sit in bettys section.
My last visit to dine-in with friends at Swiss Chalet in Kitchener, on Fairway Road was a mix of positive and negative. We had a cheerful and helpful server, Betty, the food arrived hot/warm, tasty (it took well over an hour, and we were advised...it could take an hour to get our order). The restaurant was only 1/4 full, so we were dismayed at the lack of focus on the dine-in customers. It sounded like our server, Betty, had to round up the staff to get our order to us as the take-out orders were overwhelming and taking precedence. The owner, whose name I did not get, took it upon herself to get us our bills. This may sound like a nice thing to help get us on our way. As it was taking a while to get our take-home containers to us and our bills. But she only added to the delay. She incorrectly added items to our bills. She had the audacity to argue with my friend when it was calmly pointed out she thought her bill was a little too high. She had been overcharged on the tax due to an item being added to her bill instead of another bill. Then there was confusion over the CAA bonus of a Starter. We were there for 2.5 hours due to slow service and were still polite. Instead of arguing with us, I think we should have been compensated in some way. In any other restaurant, that lack of service would result in free meals.
