we went in a big group. Food and wine were very good. The waitress recommended that I go with French Fries as my potato option, great with the NY Stripsteak. I'm glad I went with the Caesar salad option over the salad bar. And the cheesecake for dessert was also quite good. Staff did their best to accommodate a rather large group. View all feedback.
What Cathryn Mohr doesn't like about Golf's Steak House & Seafood:
Treated out-of-town family for dinner on a Friday. Two ordered seafood and two ordered chicken. All portions were large, however, no one could eat more than half their plate. The seafood did not taste fresh, was over-cooked and rubbery, and dishes described be stuffed with shrimp, scallops and crab instead had imitation crab, lots of bread crumbs, tiny pieces of not-fresh scallops, and no shrimp. Had our daughter and son in laws wedding dinner here on June 30, 2023. It was amazing! Mackenzie our waitress was the absolute perfect waitress for the wedding. The food amazing. The atmosphere incredible. Could not ask for any better. My husband and I have now found our favorite restaurant and we went again this evening. I'm telling you try it you will not be disappointed.
I was told that Golf's served a great Schnitzel dinner. My friend both ordered the Schnitzel dinner, I've eaten many Schnitel dinners in my time (74 yrs old) but Never anything like what they served , two pie wedge pieces small and overcooked, french fries soggy the entire dinner was an amature attempt and certainly not worth the price.
A classic wind-the-clock-back steak house experience … extraordinaire. And … worth some return visits. Time stands still … the new, very recent carpet looks like 1974. My wife and I bet on the dessert #1 choice … and bingo 1974 with Golf’s house-made cheesecake with cherries on top. Our rib-eye steak, our prime rib … excellent, cooked to perfection, Included soup (sub French Onion), salad bar sub caesar for 3 bucks, hot buns, and one side. All for 31 bucks. Rib-Eye Steak was 37. Can’t wait for a return visit. Writing review with my left-over prime rib scattered over a home-made pizza. Check my slight out of focus photo to get the idea. Whoa. Thanks to our excellent server Jayden.
