great evening in thompson manor; excellent service, great cocktails and good eating. we started with some appetizers, bruschetta and thunfischtare. while the bruschetta was delicious, the thunfish lacked taste. for our entrees we enjoyed the lambs and a delicate steak...both delicious and prepared as we wished. previous reviews showed that the sections were on the smaller side. we didn't find that. a special scream t... What User doesn't like about Thompson Manor:
The ravioli was very good! The salad wasn’t great, the dressing wasn’t good and the bacon bits were so hard. A $68 steak was not worth the price, it was very small and very thin. The crème brûlée was delicious. If it wasn’t for the ravioli and crème brûlée I would have given one star. The service was great. View all feedback.
When we got to the restaurant, they were closed. The doors were locked and it was dark I cannot give a review when we were not actually able to enter. I did double check our reservation, date and time were correct.
WOW! We were positively surprised not only by the food but its delivery! Steak was just incredible! Top notch service! Team gave us extra time to think when they saw we are scrubbing through the menu. It’s nice when they tell you, it’s okay I don’t want to rush you through so take your time : really appreciate that!
Thompson Manor is beautifully decorated with a romantic and classy atmosphere. The service was impeccable, shoutout to Andrew our waiter who was amazing. Would definitely return purely based on the service!
Beautiful establishment; excellent service, food was good, the prices are crazy. Lowest priced 9oz glass of red wine was $25; I had two glasses, my partner had 2 CC and 7up. I had the Pear Walnut Salad $19 along with Beef Tips $24; which is an appetizer as my meal, as I was disappointed this Steak and Seafood Manor did not offer Filet Mignon; I would have got that for sure with a nice sauce. There were only 3 steak (beef options to choose from Striploin, Ribeye or Tenderloin (not really sure if that was beef or pork to be honest ; that's it. My partner chose to have a Caesar Salad $17 with a Lobster Tail (MP? and Twice Baked Potato $13. Everything is a la carte, which makes it even more money. It was very good; not outstanding. My partner said he's had better lobster elsewhere. We did enjoy ourselves at the most beautiful bar. A waiter chatted with us while he dried the dishes and the experienced bartender made us a couple special drinks which I'm sure were outrageously priced, as I was shocked at the final bill. $284 without tip. I did tip well for the service and atmosphere, leaving at $370 for two people. Will we go back? Not anytime soon. Way too expensive, I'm broke now. Definately a place to go only for a very special occasion. They need to bring the prices down some and offer more steaks, if they want repeat customers. All that being said, sure I recommend it, make sure you plan your budget accordingly.
Thank you for the wonderful private room provided for our family Christmas gathering. The decorations and table setting was delightful and tastefully done. The staff and service were outstanding and the a la cart choices for our guest were amazing. I have been responding to great feedback this morning from all of our guests. Big Thank you for the Great Team at the Manor... so appreciated. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!
