Island Smokehouse - Kings Island

Another quick stop during our day at the park. We were excited to try the fried shrimp. My expectations are always a bit tempered when it comes to seafood in a land locked state(ohio . But this entree and side was $18 so that tells me I can up the game a bit. Only 7 shrimp on a bare plate with a side of baked beans. Shrimp had more of coconut crumble coating(not coconut than a batter. Which I like, not to heavy. But we expected fat, thick, American batter. Shame on us: The beans were pretty good and had a hmmm.... dill and hardy somewhat salsa-ish? Vibe. It 's not their fault but being located on the water park side makes bare feet and puddles inevitable. I don 't blame them for that but it 's not a positive feeling so I would recommend prioritizing the impossible task of staying ahead of the water. Staff was helpful and smiled our way. I really think some consideration of how to fill out the plate a bit in a way that keeps it profitable would go far. We 've all been swimming, burning calories, we are hungry. Even a piece of bread or garnish would have saved the day I think. The rest is just a product of the im environment. Overall pretty good option.

It was very good and the chicken nuggets tasted like heaven

Wings were completely underdone went to get a refund and was told me they could not give me my money back only remake my food, I didn’t notice any were underdone until my last wing. I got a whole new meal and my wings were STILL underdone. 1 star I would give no stars if I could, Kings island is nothing but greedy

So came here for dinner while at King 's Island. Boy oh boy, do they have delicious food and great deals. We ordered the first platter , for my husband, with ribs and mac n cheese for $11.99. I got mine for half that $5.99) and I got a whole small chicken with seasoned potato wedges. If we had our kids, one of them could have gotten a whole meal for half the price of mine $2.99). They also have desserts and a drink-filling station. Lots of seating outdoors in the front and sides. They have sauces outside, including their main bbq sauce. I highly recommend this place.
