We visited the Italian restaurant Olive Garden back in 2006 during our first trip to the United States. A good friend invited us, and we immediately liked the place. Now, many years later, we’re back and haven’t regretted it one bit. Our server, Cody, was incredibly friendly and made excellent recommendations for our meal. He was so efficient that our food arrived almost before we knew it! Everything was fantastic—fr... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Olive Garden:
We sat down at the bar tonight at about 9:30 pm and the male bartender saw us and shook his head. I get that we came in a little late but that is not the type of customer service I expected to experience. View all feedback.
Went for a pasta craving with husband for dinner ended up being an alarming experience Special thanks to SuSAN the waitress!! SUSAN is far from being patient and is very judgmental about what you order!! Never had this kind of experience where the waitress has a problem about what u order Or having an issue about giving you time to think about what u would like to eat over a bowl of soup Also will judge you and ask just the soup then demand the menu back after I communicate that i still NEED TIME TO LOOK THRU THE menu Manager was really sweet she could tell I was uncomfortable with the whole situation Manager offered me a new soup or entree and insisted I don 't go home hungry but I couldn 't bring myself to order anything after the soup because of how unsettling SUSAN left my tummy but SUSAN really did scare my appetite away very depressing how i was treated. Susan will also act like she did nothing wrong and leave her mouth open like she 's shocked which really puts the icing on the cake How can you not realize you were being pretty ugly rude!?!! Anyways that lady needs her head checked Shout out to the manager on floor hope you address this issue and let her go work somewhere quicker like a fast food place I hope nobody has the experience I had tonight also felt so upset I went home and threw up the bite of salad she served us so yeah she will make you that sick to your stomach sincerely a very let down customer
My honest opinion. Food is ok. I was invited for an early dinner for a Graduation celebration. For many years I've avoided going to Olive Garden. Only because I don't feel the experience is all that great because you end up stuffing yourself with soup, salad and bread before your actual entree arrives. I ordered one of the smallest dish on the menu and it was the Lunch special called Shrimp Scampi on Angel Hair pasta. My Mom ordered the lunch special Alfredo Fettuccine. My take on my own dish was the Shrimp Scampi on Angel Hair pasta. To describe it had shrimp, chopped tomatoes and chopped asparagus . Honestly I don't know why they would put this combination together? The tomatoes made the entire dish acidic and the asparagus was bitter due to the acidity of the tomatoes. It did not taste balance at all. On top of that, I felt the asparagus was hard. Not sure why they didn't peel at least the harder ends of the asparagus. I assume it's because the cooks were only trained to cook following steps and not really understanding that this combination is not really all that great. The saucy part of the dish was a bit salty to me. Maybe because the entire combination of the tomatoes and shrimp just made it overpowering with saltiness. I did not enjoy my meal at all. I guess I only enjoyed the soup that came with it which was the Minestrone soup. My Mom and her Alfredo Fettuccine....she told me it tasted dry. My mom Complained that she looks forward to eating Alfredo fettuccine at any restaurant for the creaminess of the sauce. My mom said it was too dry. I do recall seeing the dish, it didn't look like the typical gravy saucy texture that most Alfredo sauce lovers look forward to. We enjoyed the company. It was a Graduation celebration so that part was ok. As for food at the Olive Garden....I only remember why I don't return to eat at an Olive Garden anymore.
Because this is the only restaurant that serve gluten free pasta in the area, we keep coming back regardless of the service and quality of food. We usually get a decent meal for an affordable price but our last trip was pretty disappointing. We placed a to-go order and ended up waiting in the car for 30 past our pick up window for our food. A staff member came out when we first arrived to inform us our credit card didn't seam to work online so we paid in cash and 5 or 6 other vehicles came and left before our food was brought out. On the way home I realized the employee never gave us change. Not only was the wait time not ideal but the woman serving us was unfriendly. I always get the kids gluten free rotini with chicken and the Zuppa Toscana and today the quality was unusually poor. Our food was cold due to the long wait and the chicken was had a rubbery texture like it has been microwaved. My husband didn't love his soup but the salad was delicious and his breadsticks were good after heating them up.
We had lunch here today and this location has definitely improved since my last visit two years ago. The manager was very visible and interactive with the patrons. The service was good yet a bit choppy but surprisingly the food made up for it. We ordered the lasagna and the chicken parmesan for our entrees. The food was HOT and very tasty! The dining room was very robust and family filled on our visit. This experience has surely put Olive Garden-Killeen back on the map in my book.
Worst breadsticks!! They were crispy! Couldn't make a whisky sour. Soup chicken gnocchi was ok. Will drive to Austin, from now on
