After using the pub for years always calling in on sat or Sun nights for a couple of drinks after fishing sometimes 2 3 or 4 of us last night there happened to be 4 of us we asked for another round of drinks at 940 only to be told we had missed last orders without anybody warning us so we're obviously very annoyed so we moved to another local pub who served us no problem at all View all feedback.
There are numerous places and it is simply better and better. eating is excellent, the selection of beer is excellent and the staff is always friendly. the position directly at the cut is so relaxing. very recommend this beautiful small pub.

Took the wife for anniversary meal this afternoon, I had Stilton and mushroom burger. Wife had Cajun chicken and daughter had spaghetti. Lovely food and no complaints from any of us apart from I didn't have room for American pancake for dessert
My first visit last night with friends. Was very impressed. Food was excellent and staff very attentive. We were a party of 11 but all the food was piping hot and delicious. My steak was perfect, cooked just how I’d asked and so tender. Well done The Lock.
We visit here very often (as a very dog friendly pub) and had a lovely Xmas fayre menu meal. Food was extremely nice and staff very attentive. Thank you again and look forward to visiting again soon.
