This charming restaurant features all outdoor seating conveniently located just off the main road. Inside, there's a quaint gift shop. I tried the vegan chicken salad and chose the bowl instead of the wrap. It was delicious and so flavorful that I didn’t even use the dressing provided on the side. The portion size was generous, more than enough to satisfy my midday hunger. Its location makes it a great spot to stop w... View all feedback.
What Hildegard Larson doesn't like about Coco Plum Place:
I cannot believe the unabashed racism touted by the employees of this establishment. To suggest discriminatory comments towards Cubans is absolutely horrendous. The manager on staff attempted to denounce this statement which caused the staff member to leave and subsequently causing a staffing shortage. That the owner of this establishment should allow staff to remain despite loud racist comments is appalling. I don't... View all feedback.
I was here a handful of time. I have smoothies, a vegan breakfast burrito and several bakery articles. if the vegan caramel cheese cake is there, get it! I still think about it! only the complaining is not all vegan because some of the vegetarian options on the display looked good (chocolate croissants, cupcakes, etc). the outside seats are beautiful and the small load inside is sweet to search while they wait
Charming and rare vegan friendly restaurant in the area. Nice size menu with decent prices. Had a breakfast burrito which was okay. Black bean burger wrap is delicious and we ordered a hummus wrap which was also very good. Fresh coffee and smoothies and lots of outdoor sitting. Desserts!!Worthy of a drive from Miami!
This place is fantastic. CocoPlum 's energy is palpable even from the parking lot. The subtropical grounds are immaculately kept, and the entire restaurant/shoppe is surrounded by truly charming, artistic little spaces to sit, eat, and chat —suitable for any mood one may find oneself in. There are gorgeous, elaborate statues throughout the place that bring so much to the atmosphere. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. So far I 've been to this place more than a handful of times, and it took some time to figure out who the owner was, mainly because the employees are so happy to be there that they come across with an owner 's sort of confidence. Anyone I 've seen preparing the food (there is no hidden kitchen; you can actually see them make your food has had a smile on their face, which is quite a contrast to many places with stressed out cooks/chefs whose faces you never see. I strongly believe it matters! The building itself houses the food counter plus a very neat boutique, full of nicely curated gifts that greatly differ from the ordinary made in elsewhere spots. One can tell whomever curates the space is really mindful of its content, judging by the broad range of items, wholesome messages, and price range. It 's also a full blown boutique —no shortage of stuff, though neatly organized. So, the food! I leave this for last because the eating experience is certainly affected by all the other variables. Sitting in such a beautiful place, knowing my food was prepared by someone who actually wants to be there, has a smile on her face, and cares for my wellbeing is half of the exchange. I 'm vegan, gluten and sugar free, and I can order from the menu with ease. For those items that are not naturally gluten free they have replacements available (they won 't be surprised by a request. The menu is on the healthy side but delicious and full of choices —nothing I 've eaten has felt heavy or tiring, and I 've had a good portion of the menu by now. I love their breakfast items (especially the burrito and a fully loaded avocado toast , smoothie bowls, and juices. The salads are also amazing. They also have desserts in two large cases, one of which is totally vegan, gluten, and sugar free. Whomever put this place together is an incredibly creative being that has poured heart and soul into it. If you 're in town, treat yourself to this experience! (And if you 're vegan and staying in Key Largo, it may just be a saving grace if you don 't feel like cooking that day. Updated from previous review on 2021-07-19
Friendly staff, yummy fresh food. Tried 2 kinds of smoothie bowls, a “chicken” wrap, a juice and 2 sweet treats. All fantastic
We eat here several times every time we are in town. It’s so nice to have a healthy vegan option, and delicious! The vegan breakfast burrito and “chicken” salad wrap are my favorites.
