This was my very first time here, and boy howdy was it worth it! Anytime I got to use two hands for a sandwich, I am happy happy! The food was wonderful the atmosphere was very chill, and the staff are amazing! You guys have got to try this bread! No store-bought here! It shines through with texture aroma flavor color, just amazing! Someone's a Master Baker back in the kitchen. View all feedback.
What MenuPix User doesn't like about Bumdoodlers Lunch Co:
The Kerrville location is disappointing. They consistently make errors with my orders, the hot sandwiches are not actually hot, and the service is slow. On the other hand, the Boerne branch is excellent. It's unclear what the issue is at the Kerrville location, but hopefully they can improve. View all feedback.
The sandwiches at this restaurant are freshly made and delicious, with the Reuben Sandwich being a personal favorite. However, the real standout at this establishment is their desserts. From Coconut Cream and Cheese Cake to Apple and other fruit pies, Lemon and Chocolate Meringue, and Banana Cream, there is a wide variety to choose from. My personal favorite is the chocolate peanut butter pie, which is incredibly tasty. It's recommended to arrive early in the day to ensure you can get your hands on your favorite pie, or even better, consider purchasing a whole pie for a family event. Bumdoodlers is definitely worth a try!
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for sandwiches and soup. They are open only for lunch, but they have a thriving takeout service. Their pies and other baked goods are also delicious. The sandwiches are generous, so if you're not too hungry, you can opt for a half. The Ruben sandwich is a personal favorite. Everything is made in-house, including the bread. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service.

I love this place! They have the best salads, potato soup and desserts ever! And everyone is always so cheerful. It is a pleasure doing business with them.
The food overall is good. We had the Yankee Sandwich. The bread was soft and delicious. The pastrami was really good and had nice flavored. The onions on the sandwich were cut thin and were perfect. The lettuce was not great. Some was vibrant and lucious green and some was yellow and looked not great. I scraped it off. The sandwich could us another layer of meat, but for the very reasonable price I understand the reasoning behind the amount of meat. In fairness, you can probably get extra meat added. The sandwich came with a tasty pickle spear and a sufficient helping of chips. We also got the bacon and cheese bake potato. Good size quality potato and all of it was delicious, but the bacon had moments of hard to chew. I'm not sure if it was the cut or over cooking etc, but that was the only bad part. Which can easily be corrected or just a bad batch of fresh bacon. We had the cheesecake and chocolate pie. We love the cheesecake. The chocolate pie was ok, but nothing special. Overall the place is clean, friendly and plenty of seating for the size of this location. We will definitely be coming back for more good eats in the future.
