Vineyards Inn Grill - KENWOOD

We came to this place expecting great Spanish food. Well... we found it but the service was terrible, it basically ruined out dinner. The waitress was angry and rude.

The restaurant is definitely off their game. The drinks that we ordered were made wrong and we were still charged for them and with no apology. The server never came back to check on our meal which was unsatisfactory to say the least. The staff was preoccupied and aloof. This was the worst experience that we have ever had here and we will not be returning.

We were so happy to learn that vineyards inn is the most eco friendly restaurant in the north bay! it means so much to us to have organic and sustainable food even when we want to eat out and what a huge plus that they even care so much about the environment that they only send 1% of what they use to the landfill!!! We LOVE what they stand for!!! and the food was beyond amazing as well!

Was greeted in a timely manner from the hostess. About 5 minutes later the hostess returned to say our server was detained and she took our drink order. Not great, but also not bad. A table behind us was seated about the time we got seated. Drinks for the other table came out before our drink order was taken and they also got their appetizer order too before we got our drinks. Then our waitress arrived just as the hostess was serving our drinks. We ordered Ahi Avocado cakes, Turkey Burger and the fresh fish Tacos. That was the last time we would see the waitress until we complained. The table behind us had another round of drinks, finished dinner and ordered desert before any of our food came out. And once the food came out, it was lukewarm, leading me to believe that it was plated and sitting in the window. This is when we first complained and again the hostess happen to be the only person checking on us. Other wait staff, just walked by seeing our glasses empty and no food on the table. The manager arrived at our table and did offer to have our plates remade, but after 45+ minutes of bad service we chose to eat semi warm food. Then our waitress shows up and explains about how she had other tables in the restaurant that prevented her for waiting on us, and then offered to comp out the appetizers and drinks. The restaurant was not that busy and like I said we did not see her until we complained. The next time our waitress showed up it was to ask if we wanted desert which we declined and she had the bill ready. As for the food, The Ahi Avocado Cake were cold not much flavor and only one of the cakes had avocado in it. The fish tacos where oily and lacked any real flavor too. The turkey burger was dry and the bun was soggy. I'm not sure if this was due to the dishes being plated and sitting or just not good tasting food. I also get that we might have just been that one customer that had the perfect storm of falling thru the cracks, BUT, I'm not trying it!!

I've passed by this place many times, but never eaten there. Heard the food was good, so we decided to check it out. Very good service staff was familiar with everything on the menu, and kept checking on us frequently to make sure we were satisfied. Tasty meal, well prepared, and fantastic menu choices will definitely be back :
